In many jurisdictions\, i ntestate succession regimes are still struggling to find ways to accommoda te the relationships that arise out of blended families\, a reality that i s increasingly present. This presentation examines some of the different w ays blended families are affected by intestate succession regimes in the C anadian common law and Quebec civil law. Comparisons will be drawn with fo reign jurisdictions such as England\, Scotland\, and France to examine how reforms to intestate succession regimes in these countries have affected blended families.\n\nBiographie\n\n(En anglais seulement) Laura Cárdenas i s in her final year in the BCL/LLB program at 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ. She is the Editor-in -Chief of the 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Law Journal\, vol. 62 and has worked as a research as sistant for many professors in the areas of property law and liberalités. Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies from Concordia University and a Masters in Asia Pacific Policy Studies from the University of Britis h Columbia.
