Internet Firewall upgrade: Saturday, Nov. 15

IT Services will be upgrading 9I��’s Internet firewall on Saturday, Nov.15, 2025. As a result of this necessary upgrade, there is a possibility that on-campus users may be temporarily unable to access the Internet for a brief period between 6:00-6:30 a.m. Some 9I�� online services may also be temporarily unavailable during this same period.

Planned downtime for myThesis and Clockwork - November 15, 2025, from 12:00 pm-5:00 pm

IMPORTANT UPDATE: As of March 18, Authy desktop has been discontinued - Install OneAuth to continue authentication on Windows or Mac device

The Authy desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux has been discontinued by the vendor and will no longer be supported as authentication method after March 18, 2024. Please install the secure alternative application, OneAuth to continue authentication on your Windows or Mac device.

When opening the Authy desktop app you may notice the following message from the vendor:

Weak or stolen passwords are hackers’ primary points of entry. If you use the same password for various accounts (even if it a strong password), a security breach for one of those accounts puts all accounts at risk.

Effective immediately, please be advised that the application TikTok must not be installed on any mobile device (i.e., mobile phone or tablet) that has been provided to you by the University, or on any mobile device for which 9I�� covers the cost of the mobile service. If you currently have TikTok installed on your 9I�� mobile device, you must remove it immediately.

Spectrum NG Sign-On mechanism update, February 28th 2023
