How does one conduct oral history interviews with queer narr ators? What is particular about queer oral history? How has oral testimony been significant in the figuration of queer histories?\n\nThis panels bri ngs together historians Gabryelle Iaconetti and Liam Devitt\, who use oral histories in their various research milieus related to queer labour and a ctivism.\n\nIn-person capacity is limited to 40 people. Location: Concordi a University\, (LB-1019)\n\nMore space is available for virtual attendance .\n\nAbout the presenters:\n\nGabryelle Iaconetti (she/they) is a first ye ar PhD student at Concordia University in Montreal\, Quebec under the supe rvision of Dr. Rachel Berger. She holds a BA and MA in History from Concor dia University and MISt (Master of Information Studies) from 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Univer sity. Her research interests lie at the intersections of bisexual history\ , oral history\, queer space\, queer theory and archives.\n\nLiam Devitt i s a public historian and writer based in Tiohti:áke/Montréal. They are an MA student at Concordia University\, where they work with the Deindustrial ization and the Politics of Our Time research initiative. Their thesis exa mines how deindustrialization affected queer communities in Cape Breton. C urrently\, they work as a research consultant for Ingenium Canada on a new project examining queer histories of industrial work. Previously\, they w ere a research and curatorial assistant for the 'InQueeries: 2SLGBTQ Histo ries of Southwestern Alberta' exhibit at the Galt Museum and Archives.
