Please send an email t o climatechangeseries [at] gmail.com to register.\n \n Kyla Schuller is Asso ciate Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies and Faculty Director of the Women’s Global Health Leadership Certificate Program at Rutgers University --New Brunswick. Her book The Biopolitics of Feeling: Race\, Sex\, and Sci ence in the Nineteenth Century (Duke UP\, 2018) fundamentally reorients th eories of biopower\, excavating the foundational role of affect and sentim entalism in the management of life itself and its hierarchies of race and sex. Her current book project\, Gender Studies After Gender\, rethinks the sex/gender distinction in light of the material turn. During the 2017-201 8 academic year\, Schuller was an External Faculty Fellow at the Stanford Humanities Center. She has previously held fellowships from ACLS and the U C Humanities Research Institute. She received her Ph.D. in Literature from UC San Diego in 2009.\n Her essays have appeared in academic journals incl uding American Quarterly and GLQ and popular outlets such as Los Angeles R eview of Books and Post Road.
