He is a French speaking Swiss\, member of a linguistic minority. He holds a PhD in International Law and i s full Professor of International and European Law at the University of Ge neva since 2001.\n \n At the University of Geneva\, he was appointed Directo r of the European studies Institute in 2007\, which he transformed in a Gl obal studies Institute in 2013. He also initiated the Human Rights Week at the University of Geneva in 2012. He’s been Director of the International Law Department (2016-2019) and Director of the Global studies Institute u ntil 2024.\n \n Nicolas Levrat is the author of seven books\, editor of anot her 20\, and has published more than 150 scientific articles or book chapt ers.
