 elves. The definition may be straightforward\, but the role is complex. Ca
 regivers of loved ones living with mental health problems or illness are c
 rucial partners and advocates in their recovery process and one can find t
 hemselves overwhelmed with these responsibilities. Caring for another is n
 ot easy\, and with this role comes challenging and significant life change
 s\, which may have occurred suddenly or have occurred over time.\n\nThis r
 ole also comes with opportunities to learn about one’s own mental health a
 nd wellness\, relationship dynamics\, complexes social and political syste
 ms\, time management\, and most significantly\, how to cope with stress\, 
 uncertainty\, grief\, etc.\n\nThe workshop will be a guided conversation o
 n the different realities of caregiving for someone with mental health pro
 blems and illness specifically. It will also be a presentation of a few id
 eas and approaches to providing compassionate care.\n\nA few themes\, but 
 others will naturally emerge from conversation\, are:\n\n\n	Cultivating res
 iliency\n	Strengthening connection and communication in a relationship of c
 are\n	Mental health considerations and coping mechanisms\n	Empathy and bound
