This mo nthly speaker series features recipients funding through Healthy Brains\, Healthy Lives' New Recruit Start-Up Supplements Program\, which provides f aculties with additional start-up funding to attract outstanding new facul ty recruits to 9I制作厂免费.\n\nSpeakers\n\n\n\nDr. Romina Mizrahi\n\nDr. Mizrah i's research seeks to understand early molecular changes in the brain of y outh with psychosis\, with the hope to identify new targets for prevention \, intervention and treatment. Dr. Mizrahi has received numerous funds fro m the Canadian Institutes of Health Research\, National Institute of Menta l Health\, and numerous foundations including the Brain and Behaviour Rese arch foundation since she became an independent investigator in 2007. Dr. Mizrahi鈥檚 hopes to advance our understanding of how the brain functions in -vivo\, in particular to understand the contribution of stress and drug us e in youth.\n\n\n\nDr. Yasser Iturria-Medina\n\nDr. Iturria-Medina鈥檚 Lab鈥擭 euroinformatics for Personalized Medicine鈥攑ursues primarily the goal of ma king precision medicine in Neurology a reality. It focuses on defining and implementing multiscale and multifactorial brain models for understanding neurological disorders and identifying effective personalized interventio ns. The lab combines molecular\, imaging and cognitive data using integrat ive mathematical modelling to create both individual and population-based mechanistic brain models.\n\nIturria-Medina鈥檚 research has spanned neurode generation modelling\, brain multimodal connectivity estimation\, and stat istical analysis for characterizing/predicting abnormal brain states. He c urrently is focusing on the creation and validation of integrative molecul ar\, neuroimaging\, and computational tools for understanding complex caus al interactions among ageing\, neurodegeneration and different therapeutic conditions.\n DTSTART:20220202T200000Z DTEND:20220202T220000Z SUMMARY: Neurogenesis: HBHL New Faculty Recruit Speaker Series URL:/hbhl/channels/event/neurogenesis-hbhl-new-faculty -recruit-speaker-series-335690 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
