Each of the speak ers will give a talk on their perspective on the Ebola Virus outbreak in W est Africa and other parts of the world\, followed by a question period an d a wine and cheese. The event will be held in the Palmer Amphitheatre in the McIntyre Medical Building at 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ from 6:30PM – 8:00PM. Dr. Srinivas Murthy Dr. Srinivas Murthy is an i nfectious disease clinician based in British Columbia. He completed his Me dical degree at 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ and Pediatric Residency Training at Boston Children ’s Hospital (Harvard Medical School). He has special clinical and research interests in severe infections of childhood. He was recently in Liberia w orking on Ebola response management with the World Health Organization. 2 . Dr. Rachel Kiddell-Monroe Rachel Kiddell-Monroe\, a lawyer and an activ ist\, specializes in humanitarian assistance\, global health\, governance and bioethics. After working on indigenous rights and East Timor independe nce with grassroots organisations in Indonesia from 1989 to 1992\, Rachel joined Médecins sans Frontières. With MSF she headed emergency humanitaria n missions in Djibouti\, Democratic Republic of Congo (then Zaire) and Rwa nda before\, during and after the genocide. After becoming programme direc tor of MSF Canada\, she was appointed Regional Humanitarian Affairs Adviso r for Latin America based in Costa Rica from 1999-2003. 3. ...and one mor e speaker! The Ebola outbreak is still not over. Despite the lag of Ebo la in the media\, the virus continues to ravage West Africa and has now ta ken over 8\,000 lives. 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ Global Health Programs and several student g roups at 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ have joined efforts in support of two well-recognized char itable organizations: Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors without Borders (MS F) and Partners in Health who have been working tirelessly to get this epi demic under control by running treatment centres\, coordinating education and community building programs and facilitating Ebola vaccine clinical tr ials.   Join our fight against the Ebola outbreak.
