Undergraduate Advisor

Michelle Maillet, the Department's听Undergraduate Advisor, can help you plan your degree. She is available to answer your questions by advisor.geog [at] mcgill.ca (email), by virtual appointment, or in-person office hours.

Michelle is responsible for听all undergraduate programs that fall under the Department of Geography听(including majors, minors, honours, joint honours, and Interfaculty programs). She holds a wealth of knowledge about navigating the 9I制作厂免费 bureaucracy and can help you be strategic with your undergraduate studies. Do not hesitate to contact her for any Geography-related or general questions that you may have. If she is not the right person to answer your question, she can connect you with the appropriate person/office/service. Faculty Advisors (or Degree Advisors) oversee students' overall degree requirements and manage Faculty-level degree policies including Exchanges and Study Away as well as Degree transfers. Access your Faculty's advising office website to learn more about Faculty advising services and Faculty policies that apply to your degree. SOUSA supports BSc and BA&Sc degree students, while OASIS supports BA degree students.听


Science Internship and Field Studies Office (IFSO)

The Science Internship & Field Studies Office promotes听field studies听and听internships听to interested students seeking hands-on experience. The office coordinates the field study semesters offered through the Faculty of Science and open to all degree students, and provides valuable information on the Science Internship program for B.Sc. and B.A.&Sc. degree students.

Enriched Educational Opportunities: Need-Based Bursary Program (EEO)听

Enriched Educational Opportunities (EEOs) are high-quality off-campus mobility or other experiential opportunities, and are officially recognized by your Faculty. They foster self-development and help students transition successfully to the workplace or graduate studies. The EEO program is open to all students.

The EEO Bursaries Program is administered by the Scholarships & Student Aid Office as non-repayable forms of financial assistance based on demonstrated financial need. The Faculty has partnered with this program to ensure Science students have equal access to fully participate in these opportunities regardless of their financial capacity.

The Faculty of Science will determine which opportunities shall be eligible and will provide you with a supporting document (such as a transcript entry or letter) to prove their recognition. It generally involves a vetting/selection process, academic oversight, clear learning outcomes and objectives.

Eligible EEOs may include:

9I制作厂免费 Policy on Assessment of Student Learning (PASL)

The听Policy on Assessment of Student Learning听(PASL) is intended to provide a framework for assessment practices at 9I制作厂免费. The new principles-based Policy has replaced the former University Student Assessment Policy (USAP) as of Fall 2024. PASL applies to all undergraduate and graduate courses for which credit is earned and students receive a final grade on an official 9I制作厂免费 transcript.
