She currently practices at the GMF-U Herzl Family Practice Centre whe re she is also the medical director of the Teenage Health Unit (THU). Dr Q uan has an interest in medical education and is the course director of the Longitudinal Family Medicine Experience (LFME)\, the family medicine cour se for first year medical students. She is involved in resident training a s the interim Competence Committee Chair at the Herzl. She has recently te amed up with Dr Anne Cockcroft's participatory research group to explore t he factors that influence teenagers in accessing medical care.   \n \n\n \n D r. Anne Cockcroft\, a physician with a background in respiratory and occup ational medicine\, is a professor in PRAM in the 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ department of Fami ly Medicine. Working with CIET (a non-profit linked with PRAM)\, she under takes community-based participatory research. Her recent research in North ern Nigeria focuses on adolescent sexual and reproductive health\, and equ itable community recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic. Current projects in Botswana involve older adults in participatory problem-solving to reduce dementia\, and youth in co-design of strategies to prevent personal and in terpersonal violence. As part of PRAM\, she has partnered with Yvonne Quan of the Teenage Health Unit in the Herzl Clinic to hear the views of teena gers about what influences their use of the THU services. \n \n \n\n Research Seminar Series\n\n Each month\, the Department of Family Medicine hosts a research seminar that explores a wide range of topics and methods relevant to primary health care.
