DESCRIPTION:The Dept. of Geography is organizing two 20 hour Wilderness Fir
 st Aid course in April.\n\n \n\nThe next 20 hour Wilderness First Aid cour
 ses will be April 26\, 27\, and 28\, at Burnside Hall.\n\nFriday April 26 
 evening 18h00 - 22h00\, and Saturday and Sunday April 27 and 28\, 09h00 – 
 18h00.\n\n \n\nA minimum of 7 committed participants is required to run a 
 course.\n\nIf we have fewer than 7 participants before the course\, the gr
 oup will have the option of paying slightly more per person\, so the cours
 e goes ahead.\n\n \n\nTraining and topics.\n\n\n	CPR and AED cardiac defibr
 ilation.\n	First Aid treatment of injuries - basics and specifics for remot
 e locations.\n	Assessing and stabilizing injuries in preparation for emerge
 ncy evacuation.\n	3 - 4 outdoor simulations near Burnside Hall.\n\n\n \n\nT
 he course will be conducted by Atout Plus\, that has taught courses on cam
 pus for many years.\n\nCertification and first aid books will be provided.
 \n\n \n\nSome research grants cover the cost of Wilderness First Aid train
 ing\, so ask your supervisors.\n\n \n\nCost. The cost per participant will
  be $250 including taxes.\n\nParticipants are asked to pay with credit car
