Youth Digital Compass Keeps Kids Cybersafe

Built upon years of research led by Professor Victoria Talwar from 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ’s Faculty of Education, is an initiative dedicated to helping young people navigate online life safely, kindly, and confidently.
Launched in partnership with , the program’s resources focus on four critical areas:
• Awareness: Raising awareness of cyberbullying and its many forms.
• Safety: Teaching youth practical steps to protect themselves online.
• Upstanders: Encouraging safe peer intervention strategies.
• Kindness: Promoting respect and positive digital citizenship.

Professor Talwar and her team have co-created videos and infographics with youth (ages 8–14), and provide essential guidance for parents.

Next Steps:
With BRP’s support, the team is focusing on evaluating materials, expanding resources for educators, and growing the library of multimedia tools.
