 n of Education from July 1998 to December 2003. She was appointed a聽Member
  of the Order of Canada聽(C.M.) in 2000\,聽Officer of the Order of Quebec聽(O
 .Q.) in 2005\, and was elected a聽Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada聽(F.
 R.S.C.) in 1999. She is also a聽Full Member of the European Academy of Arts
 \, Sciences and Humanities.聽Her publications in books\, journals and encyc
 lopedias\, her prestigious grants and teaching reflect her varied research
  interests\, which include education and technology. She has done research
  in Canada\, Asia\, Africa and Latin America.\n\nProfessor Ghosh was featu
 red in the Canadian Edition of聽Time Magazine\, October 13\, 2003 issue as 
 one of 'Canada's Best in Education'.\n\nIn 2009 she was selected for the聽P
 ower List聽published by聽India Abroad.\n\nShe is the recipient of the聽YWCA W
 oman of Distinction Award聽in 1996\, and has received several awards from n
 ational and international organizations. She has held important administra
 tive positions at 9I制作厂免费\, as聽Director of Graduate Studies and Research聽fo
 r the Faculty of Education\, and聽Acting Director聽of 9I制作厂免费 International. 
 She has had an important leadership role in the development and governance
  of the聽Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute\,聽which is a consortium of Canadia
 n universities involved in academic exchanges and programs between India a
 nd Canada. She served as its聽Resident Director聽in New Delhi\, India\, in 1
 982-83\, and as聽President聽of the Institute from 1988-90. She has been on t
 he Board of Directors (as well as the Education and International Committe
 es) of the聽Canadian Human Rights Foundation.聽She is on the editorial board
  of several international journals. In 2009 she was elected as the聽Preside
 nt聽(2011-2012) of the聽Comparative and International Education Society聽of t
 he U.S.\n
