We invite all attendees to join us for lunch.*\n\nAn awards ceremony will be held at the end of the day.\n\nWe have the great pleasure of welcoming two extrao rdinary keynote speakers. Dr. Carlos Quiñonez will speak in the morning an d Dr. Jill Helms will speak in the afternoon.\n\nCarlos Quiñonez is Vice D ean and Director\, Dentistry at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistr y of Western University at Western University. He is a leading Canadian ad vocate for dental policy reform. Dr. Quiñonez’ research is focused on dent al public health and explores the history\, politics and economics of dent istry with a social equity lens. He regularly acts as a consultant to gove rnmental and non-governmental agencies and is internationally recognized a s a leading figure in oral health care policy. Dr. Quiñonez's session is p resented by Dentsply Sirona.\n\nJill Helms is a Professor in the Departmen t of Surgery at Stanford School of Medicine\, Her research focuses on unde rstanding why healing slows as we age. Dr. Helms and her team have found t hat many such age-related changes can be traced back to sluggish stem cell s\, and her group has developed methods to re-activate a patient’s own ste m cells for therapeutic intervention in a broad range of conditions affect ing bone\, cartilage\, skin\, and hair and beyond. She is also Vice-Chair for Diversity and Inclusion in the Department of Surgery and works with co lleagues\, students\, and community partners to tackle some of the most pe rsistent inequities in healthcare.
