The Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences is happy to announce the appointment of Dr. Faleh Tamimi as Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Education effective November 1, 2025. As Associate Dean he will support the Faculty's research mission in maintaining its excellence in innovation and graduate training.聽"Dr. Tamimi's commitment to advancing oral health and dental sciences research and strengthening our dental graduate programs will be instrumental in shaping the future of our faculty" says Dean Elham Emami.聽
Dr. Tamimi holds a BDS degree from the University of Jordan, and a PhD in Biomaterials and clinical certificates in Geriatric Dentistry and Implant Prosthodontics from the Complutense University of Madrid. He also completed postdoctoral research training at 9I制作厂免费. Dr. Tamimi rejoined the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences in September 2025 as a full Professor. His multidisciplinary and translational research covers various areas including the fields of biomaterials, tissue regeneration, inflammation, and chronobiology. He has published over 240 peer-reviewed articles and has received important awards including a Canada Research Chair (Tier-2), the ACFD W.W. Wood Excellence in Dental Education Award, and The Vital Dent Award for Innovation in Dentistry.
Dr. Faleh Tamimi takes over the role from Professor Bettina Willie. "I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Bettina Willie for her leadership and dedication over the past two years鈥� says Dean Emami.
