 e offered in collaboration with The Council for Black Aging Community of M
 ontreal\, the Eva Marsden Centre for Social Justice and Aging\, the LaSall
 e Multicultural Resource Center\, and Women on the Rise.\n\nThis public le
 cture aims to raise awareness and provide basic information about Alzheime
 r鈥檚 and聽other dementia-related diseases.\n\nDuring this presentation\, Dr.
  Serge Gauthier\, a clinical neurologist\, will provide聽information on the
  different types of neurocognitive disorders. He will discuss the聽associat
 ed behavioural and psychological symptoms that manifest as the disease聽pro
 gresses\, and explain how these may differ from typical aging concerns.聽Dr
 . Gauthier is聽Professor Emeritus in the Department of Neurology &聽Neurosur
 gery and the Department of Psychiatry at 9I制作厂免费\, and the聽Acade
 mic Co-Lead of the Dementia Education Program.\n\nNext\, Mrs. Claire Webst
 er\, former caregiver and Certified Dementia Care聽Consultant\, will share 
 practical advice on how to care for a person living with聽dementia. She wil
 l discuss important considerations to ensure the safety and聽well-being of 
 both the individual as well as the care partner to help families聽understan
 d and access the resources needed to navigate this disease.聽Claire is the聽
