DESCRIPTION:\n\nArtistic collaborators Caroline Boileau and Natasha S. Reid
  invite visitors to engage with a series of objects and actions that encou
 rage playful engagement with collaboration grounded in consent and with bo
 undary development. In creating these works\, they were inspired by their 
 participation in the Anti-Violence Project’s Understanding Consent-Based C
 ulture workshop. Using participatory art practices\, they hope to stimulat
 e thinking and dialogue about consent and how art and art spaces can be us
 ed to address pressing societal issues and difficult knowledge.\n\nThis ex
 hibition\, titled playing WITH - playing OUT\, is part of a research proje
 ct conducted by Natasha S. Reid (Assistant Professor\, UVic's Dept. of Cur
 riculum & Instruction)\, entitled Situating a University Gallery as a Comm
 unity Learning Site for Addressing Sexualized Violence. The study is inves
 tigating how participatory artistic practices can contribute to establishi
 ng a community learning location for engaging with difficult knowledge. If
  you choose to contribute to the artwork in this exhibition\, your contrib
 utions will be included in the documentation\, analysis\, and disseminatio
 n of the research and will become part of the artwork. Non-identifiable ph
 otographs and videos of participants will be taken on the documentation da
 ys. As part of this research\, Natasha is looking for individuals who are 
 interested in participating in a short interview or filling in a questionn
