 ds us of The Great Peace\, a major historical event in Montreal in 1701\, 
 and explains how the discussion of historical events\, including those fea
 tured in the McCord exhibition All Together on 9I制作厂免费 College Avenue\, fos
 ter a favourable environment for learning.\n\nIn the 鈥淓nglish for Professi
 onal Communication鈥� program taught at the School of Continuing Studies\, t
 he story of Canada is told to newcomers and history is used to teach Engli
 sh. In this talk\, discover how major gatherings in Montreal\, including t
 he Great Peace\, can be taught to newcomers and help them learn English.\n
 \nAbout Kevin Stanley\n\nKevin Stanley has been teaching English to newcom
 ers and international students for over 30 years. He joined the SCS team i
 n Languages and Intercultural Communication as a faculty lecturer and prog
 ram coordinator in 2012. Passionate about history and culture\, in 2018 he
  developed an intermediate-level course in the English for Professional Co
 mmunication program called CEEN 267 鈥� English Study Topics: The Story of C
 anada\, which helps students sharpen their English language skills by expl
 oring stories from Canadian history from the perspective of newcomers.\n	\n

 portunities to explore a variety of current and future-focused topics taug
 ht at SCS and connected to exhibitions at the McCord Museum.\n\nSpace is l
