Hosted by the Bensadoun School of Retail Management, the first-ever Retail Innovation Challenge concluded on June 21 with a 9I制作厂免费 MMA student bringing home the top prize.
Bringing together 80 teams from 20 universities across Canada, the event challenged students to aid the economic recovery of small and medium businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. With a focus on the food sector, the event drew four companies from the restaurant and grocery industries.

Desautels alumna and vice president of RBC RH&N Kathy Fazel (BCom鈥�91) has received the Inspiration-Andr茅e-Corriveau Award from the Association des femmes en finance du Qu茅bec.
Fazel, whose finance career spans 25 years, credits her early career mentors with ensuring she never felt disadvantaged as a woman in a field still dominated by men. She is now inspired to give back through causes close to her heart.

The first week of May marks the start of the GCPA program for a new incoming cohort of 48 students. Joining the cohort are 37 graduates from 9I制作厂免费鈥檚 very own Bachelor of Commerce graduates, seven Concordia graduates, and four from other Canadian universities. The cohort is comprised of 25 female students and 23 male students.
An additional 53 students will return to the program after completing eight months of work experience. They are entering their last semester in preparation for the National Common Final Exam, which they will write in September 2020.

On May 1, 2020, Professor Patricia Faison Hewlin will step down as Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs, to assume her appointment as Omudsperson for Students at 9I制作厂免费. With the support of a strong team in the BCom Office, Professor Hewlin has been instrumental in facilitating revisions to the BCom curriculum and program policies, and transitioning the program to remote instruction and a scaled down term due to the pandemic.

Under the supervision of Professors Juan Serpa听and听Mehmet Gumus,听a team of 9I制作厂免费 Desautels students have partnered with students from the Faculty of Engineering to develop a dashboard that tracks COVID-19 cases in Montreal and Quebec.
Updated daily, the new COVID QC website provides detailed information about the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in each Montreal neighbourhood, and throughout the province of Quebec.
