 l health day hospital often goes unnoticed by the public and clinicians. T
 his presentation will identify\, for clinicians and partners\, the importa
 nce of this type of service in the recovery continuum. The role of a day h
 ospital\, the motivation of each individual\, the ambivalence that patient
 s experience\, the capacity for change and resistance within such a framew
 ork will be presented. Crossroads users will also be on hand to relate the
 ir personal experiences with the 8-week session at this small house by the
