 e leading\nacademic healthcare institutions in North America and is the\nd
 esignated teaching hospital for 9I制作厂免费's Faculty of Medicine.\nAs of April
  2010\, after over 10 years of planning\, the MUHC\nreceived the official 
 green light from the provincial government\nfor the construction of new fa
 cilities at the Glen site. This\nproject is one of the largest private-pub
 lic partnerships in\nCanadian history.\nHowever\, the actual scope of the 
 project has decreased from that\nof its original size. What implications a
 nd challenges does this\npose for healthcare workers? What are the challen
 ges in moving\nforward this project but under a PPP model? What are the ne
 cessary\npartnerships in making sure that this project succeeds? These are
 \nsome of the issues which will be discussed.\nBiography\nHarris Poulis jo
 ined the 9I制作厂免费 Health Centre in 2006\nas a special advisor to 
 the director general and chief executive\nofficer\, managing internal and 
 external policy relations in the\npublic and private domain. In 2008\, he 
 was promoted to his current\nrole where he was instrumental in the negotia
 tions for the\n$1.34-billion\, award-winning financing and legal structure
  of the\nMUHC's public-private partnership with the 9I制作厂免费 Health\nInfrast
 ructure Group consortium.\nAs general counsel and director of legal affair
 s\, Me Poulis\noversees the legal operations for the MUHC's six hospitals.
  Among\nhis responsibilities\, he analyses laws and regulations as they\np
 ertain to healthcare administration\, medical professionals and\npatients\
 ; provides strategic counsel to the senior management team\;\noversees the
  preparation of resolutions and bylaws for the board of\ndirectors of the 
 MUHC\; and drafts or oversees partnership and\nleasing agreements.\nPrior 
 to joining the MUHC\, he spent a number of years as\npolitical attach茅 for
  Quebec's former minister of natural\nresources\, Christos Sirros.\nMe Pou
 lis is a guest lecturer and occasional professor in the\ndepartment of Bus
 iness Administration (continuing education) at\nConcordia University\, whe
 re he has taught commercial law\,\nmanagement relations\, business communi
 cations and other courses\nsince 1997. He has also been a guest lecturer i
 n the Desautels\nSchool of Management at 9I制作厂免费 and in the John
  Molson\nSchool of Business at Concordia University.\nMe Poulis earned his
  Law degree from the University of Ottawa\,\nreceiving the Jacques Gaudrea
 u Memorial Prize for his scholarly\nachievement\, as well as Bachelor's an
 d Master's degrees in\nPolitical Science from 9I制作厂免费. He recent
 ly completed a\nMaster's degree in Practice Management in 9I制作厂免费's Interna
 tional\nMasters for Health Leadership programme\, and is a member of the\n
 Quebec Bar\, the Canadian College of聽Health Services Executives\nand the C
