World Systems analysis \, concepts of the\npublic sphere\, public culture and visual studies info rm her\ninterdisciplinary approach which she works to integrate with her\n roots in History of Religions and phenomenology. Her concerns\ninclude rev isioning World Religions/Comparative Religion in a\npost-colonial/post-mod ern era. Her publications contextualize these\nissues in contemporary urba n India and in the Hindu diaspora.\nFellowships from the National Endowmen t for the Humanities\,\nFulbright\, and the American Institute of Indian S tudies have\nsupported her fieldwork in India.\n聽\n\n\n\nThe South Asian R eligions Distinguished Lectureship was\nestablished in 2009 to complement the strong undergraduate and\ngraduate programs on South Asia in the Facul ty of Religious Studies\nat 9I制作厂免费\, and to encourage public understanding of South Asian\nreligions.
