 ate firm environment and sharing how she began the practice\nin a firm tha
 t wasn't previously active in this field.\nAbout the speaker\nRebeka Brede
 r practises general corporate commercial litigation\nand animal law at Bou
 ghton Law Corporation in Vancouver. Her animal\nlaw practice includes acti
 ng for both plaintiffs and defendants in\nveterinary malpractice suits\, r
 epresenting clients whose animals\nwere injured as a result of tainted foo
 d (product liability\nclaims)\, acting exclusively for dog owners whose do
 gs are facing\ndestruction orders as a result of being designated\n'danger
 ous/aggressive/vicious' dogs\, and acting for veterinarians\nin profession
 al disciplinary complaints.\nRebeka is the founder and Chair of the first 
 Animal Law section\nof the Canadian Bar Association\, which she formed in 
 2008. She is\nalso on the Board of Directors of the Vancouver Humane Socie
