 s' is a series of informal lectures on\nbrain imaging that is presented at
  the McConnell Brain Imaging\nCentre (BIC) of the Montreal Neurological In
 stitute (MNI) by\nexperts in the field\; these lectures are open to all.\n
 The Winter 2011 Program of the BIC Lecture Series will feature a\nnumber o
 f presentations examining the use of advanced brain imaging\ntechniques to
  better understand the structure and function of the\nhuman brain.  The th
 eme for this season's BIC Lecture Series\nwill be 'The Cerebral Cortex' --
  with many of the lectures being\naimed at exploring how different structu
 ral and functional imaging\ntechniques are being used to further our under
 standing of this most\nincredible structure.\nPlease join us for our seven
 th lecture of the season\, which will\nbe held on Monday\, March the 7th\,
  at 1:00 pm in the de\nGrandpré Communications Centre of the MNI (3801 Uni
 versity\nStreet\, Montreal\, QC\, H3A 2B4).\nThis lecture will be given by
  Dr. Ingrid\nJohnsrude\, who will present some of her fMRI evidence for\nr
 ecruitment of cognitive and top-down processes when listening to\nspeech t
 hat is difficult to understand.\n
