 Research indicates that cognitive-behavioural therapy\n(CBT) increases tre
 atment effectiveness in schizophrenia when added\nto usual care featuring 
 medication and case management. An\nincreasing number of mental health pro
 fessionals and patients have\ndiscovered for themselves that CBT in patien
 ts with schizophrenia\nis acceptable\, safe and gives good results.\nThis 
 lecture will describe CBT for psychosis\, and will include\nthe demonstrat
 ion of specific techniques using role play and DVD\nclips. All members of 
 the general public are welcome. This talk is\nof special interest to indiv
 iduals struggling with psychotic\nsymptoms and their families and caregive
 rs.\n
