Th is\nlecture will describe CBT for psychosis\, and will include the\ndemons tration of specific techniques using role play and DVD clips.\nAll members of the general public are welcome. This talk is of\nspecial interest to I ndividuals struggling with psychotic symptoms\nand their families and care givers.\nProfessor Turkington is a major research figure\nin the developme nt of CBT for schizophrenia. He has lectured widely\nthroughout Europe and North America. He has written more than 100\narticles and co-authore 3 bo oks on CBT for schizophrenia. His CBT\nself-help book for patients and car ers entitled Back to Life\, Back\nto Normality: Cognitive Therapy\, Psycho sis and Recovery will be\npublished in the summer.\nDr Alison Brabban work s as a Consultant\nClinical Psychologist in a first episode psychosis serv ice in the\nNorth of England.
