Since 1992\, the majority of his practice has involved unravelling wrongful con victions. Mr. Lockyer is a founding director of the Association in Defence of the Wrongly Convicted (AIDWYC)\, a Canada-wide organization that advoc ates for the wrongly convicted.\n\n Selwyn A. Pieters has appeared at all l evels of courts\, including the Supreme Court of Canada in Fraser v. Ontar io and Quebec (Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la je unesse) v. Bombardier Inc. (2015). Prior to entering private practice\, Pi eters was a Refugee Protection Officer at the Immigration and Refugee Boar d of Canada.\n\n Evelyn Maeder is the Director of the Institute of Criminol ogy and Criminal Justice at Carleton University in Ottawa.
