'Leukemia Immunotherapy'

Guest lecturer:

Dr. Claude Perreault, Professor of Medicine at the Université de Montréal, Principal Investigator at the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer.

Introduction by Michel Tremblay, Director of the Goodman Cancer Research Centre.

Followed by the 2010 Cole Foundation Fellowships and Poster Day Awards.

For four years, the Cole Foundation in Montreal has been supporting research in pediatric and young adult leukemia and lymphoma at 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ as well as the Université de Montréal and the Institut Armand-Frappier.

Each spring, the general public has a chance to check out the fascinating research conducted over the last year by Cole Foundation fellows as well as to discover the new cohort of fellows.

Making the event even bigger and better for 2010 is a guest lecture by Dr. Claude Perreault, the Canada Research Chair in Immunobiology, and who won the Murray Margarit Memorial Award from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada in 2009.

Dr. Perreault’s research has revealed highly promising methods of combating leukemia. This lecture explores his findings and the hope of translating them to successful immunotherapy for human sufferers of the disease.
