About the Global Change Symposium

Themes will centre around the urgent need to understand and respond to rapid environmental transformations through science, policy, and community action. Across diverse ecosystems—from tropical forests to Arctic landscapes and Canadian rivers—speakers explore how climate change, biodiversity loss, and infrastructure development are reshaping our world. With a shared emphasis on connectivity, resilience, and collaborative approaches,Ìýspeakers will highlight the importance of linking ecological research with social systems, governance, and Indigenous knowledge to build sustainable and equitable futures.
