DESCRIPTION:Workshop Overview: This workshop presents an overview of the da
 ta science life cycle using the programming language Python\, and using th
 e environment Jupyter Notebooks. Using a simple data set\, the instructor 
 will walk participants through the different steps of the data science lif
 e cycle (e.g.\, manipulation\, plotting\, communication\, code version con
 trol)\, presenting relevant python packages and representative commands fo
 r each step.\n\nThis tutorial is designed to help the learner prepare for 
 the larger set of CDSI training offerings on the various specific stages o
 f the data science life cycle.\n\nPrerequisites: \n	· Knowledge of file sys
 tems and Jupyter Notebooks would be helpful (e.g. from Understanding file 
 systems and Introduction to Python workshops).\n	· You need to bring your o
 wn laptop for this workshop. Install Anaconda on your computer. You can fi
 nd installation instructions here. Please contact us (cdsi.science [at] mc
 gill.ca) if you are having trouble with installation.\n\nLocation: HYBRID.
