 ence at 9IÖÆ×÷³§Ãâ·Ñ early 2018. She is now the Insight’s Data Science Program D
 irector in Toronto. She will give a presentation and Q&A on careers in dat
 a science.\n\nScientists and engineers from diverse fields\, including phy
 sics\, astronomy\, computational biology\, neuroscience\, math\, statistic
 s\, and computer science\, are playing key roles in transforming the way c
 ompanies and public institutions work with data to impact our daily lives.
  This event will provide a high-level overview of data science in the tech
 nology industry and describe the Insight Fellows Program. The session will
  include time for Q&A\, as well as advice for those interested in transiti
 oning to careers in data science and artificial intelligence.\n\nAbout Ins
 ight:\n\nThe Insight Data Science Fellows Program is an intensive\, seven 
 week postdoctoral training fellowship that bridges the gap between academi
 c research and a career in data science. Based in 4 cities in the US and i
 n Toronto\, the program enables scientists to learn the industry-specific 
 skills through a project-based\, industry-driven learning approach designe
 d to train academics in many of the cutting edge data science tools and pr
 actices used in industry.\n\nThere are now over 1\,800 Insight Fellows wor
 king as data scientists and data engineers on top data-driven teams includ
 ing the New York Times\, Netflix\, Twitter\, Bloomberg\, Facebook\, Apple\
 , LinkedIn\, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center\, Viacom\, Enigma\, Je
