This information will help researchers understand how small-scale processes affect downstream water resources.
Mon, 24 Nov 2025 15:30:56 +0000 admin 11617 at /biology Professor Christian Genest recipient of the Acfas Urgel-Archambault prize (2025) /biology/channels/news/professor-christian-genest-recipient-acfas-urgel-archambault-prize-2025-369271
Professor Christian Genest is the winner of the 2025 Acfas Urgel-Archambault prize.

Le Prix Acfas Urgel-Archambault 2025 pour les sciences physiques, mathématiques, informatique et génie, est remis à Christian Genest, professeur titulaire au Département de mathématiques et de statistique de l'Université 9I.
Fri, 21 Nov 2025 19:14:22 +0000 admin 11615 at /biology Bringing environmental policymakers together to focus on the future sparks empathy for nature and later generations, 9I study finds /biology/channels/news/bringing-environmental-policymakers-together-focus-future-sparks-empathy-nature-and-later-369255
When environmental policymakers are invited to imagine the future together, they don’t just think differently, they feel differently, too.
Fri, 21 Nov 2025 15:19:04 +0000 admin 11612 at /biology Millions of buildings at risk from sea level rise, 9I-led study finds /biology/channels/news/millions-buildings-risk-sea-level-rise-mcgill-led-study-finds-368163
Sea level rise could put more than 100 million buildings across the Global South at risk of regular flooding if fossil fuel emissions are not curbed quickly, according to a new 9I-led study published in npj Urban Sustainability.
Fri, 03 Oct 2025 13:49:34 +0000 admin 11575 at /biology Marco Carone receives prestigious 2025 Myrto Award from Harvard's School of Public Health /biology/channels/news/marco-carone-receives-prestigious-2025-myrto-award-harvards-school-public-health-366974
Dr. Marco Carone, a former 9I undergraduate student in Probability and Statistics, has been awarded the prestigious 2025 Myrto Award from Harvard's School of Public Health.
Tue, 02 Sep 2025 20:36:44 +0000 admin 11580 at /biology 9I scientists turn marine waste into a sustainable solution for wound care, wearable devices and more /biology/channels/news/mcgill-scientists-turn-marine-waste-sustainable-solution-wound-care-wearable-devices-and-more-366171
An interdisciplinary team of 9I researchers has developed an ultra-strong, environmentally friendly medical glue, or bioadhesive, made from marine waste.
