These proteins are essentially master regulators of oligodendrocyte function and we have shown that the absence of these proteins causes myelination defects (quaking phenotype) in mice. By understanding how the quaking proteins and the PRMTs function\, we are able to tease out the molecular details about how oligodendrocytes become mature and produce myelin. This information will be important for the basi c understanding of myelination and with possible implications for re-myeli nation therapies.\n\nSEMINAR POSTER\n\nwww.mcgill.ca/anatomy/seminars\n DTSTART:20170426T153000Z DTEND:20170426T163000Z LOCATION:Room 2/36\, Strathcona Anatomy and Dentistry Building\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 0C7\, 3640 rue University SUMMARY:Dr Stéphane Richard (LDI) - URL:/anatomy/channels/event/dr-stephane-richard-ldi-26 7610 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
